Bradley Acquires Dixon-Bate

In August of 2009 Bradley acquired the trading name and towing products portfolio of Dixon-Bate Ltd. The addition of the Dixon Bate products to the existing Bradley product range creates a unique range of quality British made towing products to meet the needs of the towing industry.

The Dixon Bate portfolio includes the well known and respected Universal coupling available in two sizes: the 2 bolt 3.5 tonne and a 4 bolt fix unit which offers a capability of 5 tons on the bin although the ball is restricted to 3.5 tonnes in common with all towballs made in accordance with the ISO standard.

A range of adjustable height brackets enables owners of 4 x 4 vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicles to alter the coupling height to ensure a level connection with different trailer types.

Complementing the height adjusters are the Commercial and Mark 2 Shocklinks. These are designed to dampen sudden excessive forces transmitted to the trailer drawbar, for example when the towing vehicle or trailer meets an obstruction such as a traffic calming hump.

A range of special towbars and towsteps completes the package although for special applications two 76 mm NATO pintles are available. These were developed for military applications initially and the majority of those we manufacture today go to the world\'s defence forces. Please contact Bradley Customer Services for application advice.
