Towing Pintles

These are special towing jaws suited to 76 mm diameter NATO eyeshafts. Although mostly found on military vehicles, some users prefer to use this style of coupling rather than the traditional British style eyes of 30, 40 or 50 mm diameter.

The Dixon-Bate 4.08T Light Tow Pintle has Worldwide recognition as it is in use in armies around the world and specificed by most military vehicle manufacturers.

The Light Tow Pintle features a lower lock designed to secure the jaw in one position or allow it to rotate 360deg. The lower lock is secured with a steel pin and clip.
This product is also available without the lower locking mechanism for users who always tow a trailer with a fixed (non-rotating) eyeshaft.

Suitable for towing eyes: I.D. 75.00 mm. Section thickness: 38 or 41 mm

Medium Pintle

The Dixon-Bate 7.60T Medium Tow Pintle has Worldwide recognition as it is in use in armies around the world and specified by most military vehicle manufacturers.

The Medium Tow Pintle features a lower lock designed to secure the jaw in one position or allow it to rotate 360deg. The lower lock is secured with a steel pin and clip.

With the exception of the 5 tonne Towing Jaw (Part No 201910). Towing pintles are the only products designed to tow trailers fitted with the military 3 inch towing eye.

Suitable for towing eyes: I.D. 76.00 mm. Section thickness: 38 or 41 mm.
